ohmygosh... I love the colors so much, I am so happy that Bonnie Hunter chose the colors she did for this year's mystery. My camera didn't pick up the colors perfectly, but it is close. And this week was my "crimson and gray" (Go Cougs! Washington State University, that is).
My grays have the same colorway because I chose a fat quarter pack. Even though they aren't the same prints, the color is just right and all the same so I think they read similar enough to be considered a "constant".
My first test block on my little ironing table:
And all those little Santa hats, finished!
I love how they all look together! I can't wait until the next clue comes out

I like the "same, same, but different" grey fabrics on your cute Santa hats.
ReplyDeleteFun to see you making this along with all of us! Crimson and Gold were my HS colors. I hope we get to put those two colors together in one of the units. Happy Stitching at your house with matchy greys
ReplyDeleteLove those rich reds!
ReplyDeleteI love your fabric choices. Every year I think about joining, usually save the patterns, but as usual this time of year my workload outpaces my free time.
ReplyDeleteI sat out after the Easy Street mystery because I disliked my finished quilt so much, but I have saved the patterns from the last two years. I think the color choices helped with my decision this year, plus I don't have anything big going on right now so that helped. If there are colors I like, that helps otherwise I will sit out until i see the finish so I can play around with different colors (like with Orca Bay)
