It's bad enough having to rip blocks, or quilting... but when it was hand stitched, ouch. After Julie and Mary both suggested removing the binding and getting that border squared and quilted, I decided to just do it. I'll never be happy with this little quilt until it is fixed.
I'm glad you bit the bullet! I hope it works out well.
ReplyDeleteI am much happier. I finished quilting the border, squaring it again, and the binding is now ready to be hand sewn again. I don't know what I will do with this little quilt, but I feel much better about my work now! :)
DeleteHaving quilt or two recently that told me to make the old Froggin tool my friend...I'm glad you fixed it. Is it not the right size for the swap now?
ReplyDeleteit would still work, but the other one that I have since made and finished is better for this swap I think. I have to sit through a dentist appointment in an hour for Daniel, I'll be sewing down the binding while waiting :) I may put a sleeve on it and hang it up, maybe.
